Orkneyinga Highland Ponies

Welcome to my website!

Orkneyinga Highland Pony Stud is located in the beautiful Orkney Islands, which are situated off the North coast of Scotland.

My stud name 'Orkneyinga' was taken from the name given to the story of the Norse Earls of Orkney - 'The Orkneyinga Saga'. It was written over 800 years ago and tells of their battle for power and control over Orkney, Shetland and the North of Scotland, and gives a fascinating insight into Orkneys Viking past.

To complement my stud name all my foals have been given Norse names.
